Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in clinical pharmacy practice, with an ability to provide patient-centered care while collaborating with medical professionals to optimize medication therapy outcomes. As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe, effective, and rational use of medications within the healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Living our purpose by helping manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
• Traveling the district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled by the District Performance Coordinator (DPC); overseeing the pharmacy and serving as the Pharmacy Manager's proxy during bench shifts.
• Supporting safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by directing the pharmacy team to follow pharmacy workflow procedures and utilizing the safety guardrails at every workstation.
• Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care and coaching the pharmacy team to do the same.
• Proactively offering and delivering immunizations to keep patients healthy; engaging and supporting Pharmacy Technicians to learn to immunize.
• Supporting inventory management in all pharmacies worked by following all inventory best practices, especially in protecting cold chain products.
• Remaining flexible for both scheduling and business needs, while contributing to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic.
• Maintaining clinical and technical skills through ongoing training and professional development.
• Supporting access to care and helping to improve patient outcomes through pharmacist delivered clinical care (e.g., COVID/Flu, Hormonal Contraception).
• Understanding and complying with all relevant federal and state laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles.

Required Qualifications:

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Essential Functions:

• Traveling within a reasonable radius to support market staffing as business needs require.
• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy to ensure patient safety.
• Customer Service and Team Orientation: Actively look for ways to help people and do so in a friendly manner.
• Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication to interact with patients and colleagues.
• Mathematical Reasoning: Ability to use math to solve problems (e.g., determining the total number of tablets to dispense).
• Problem Resolution: Identifying challenging patient or colleague interactions and choosing the best course of action.

Physical Demands:

• Be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time.
• Lift, scan, and bag items, and reach overhead or stretch to grasp items.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. and exert force when needed.
• Visual acuity for tasks like transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, or reading.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.

Pay Range:

The typical pay range for this role is $57.00 - $70.00.
